SOCIAL WORK MONTH CELEBRATION 2003.

Social Work Month Celebration of the year 2003 was held at Raj Mahal Restaurant, Belle Rose, Queens NY on March 22nd 2003. About 26 members and their families participated for the celebration. Ms. Sayu V. Bhojwani was the Chief guest and keynote speaker for the event. She is the commissioner of Immigrant Affairs, New York City and is the highest ranked officer from the South Asian Community in the Mayor Bloomberg Administration. During the occasion Ms. Bhojwani was recognized by AAISW for outstanding service and commitment towards the community.  Mr. George Thaila was honored with the Best Social Worker of the Year award, 2003. He is currently working as Social work supervisor at Kingsborough Psychiatric Center, Brooklyn NY.
