Assistance with Medication costs
 
Office for the Aging is  a great resource. Office for the Aging provided  the info for New York Prescription Saver Card (1-800-788-6917)- pays 60% of cost for generics, and Walmart and Costco have drug discount plans for some medications- some for $4. /script if generic for a month's supply- also Epic (1-800-332-3742) is another plan which will cover people over 65-

This is a company which helps people of any age obtain medications and medical supplies, or connect with free clinics.   They do not provide these, but connect the patient with programs which do, including disease-specific programs, discount programs, and some run by pharmaceutical companies.  There is some application paperwork involved but they seem very helpful.
